Maria Bonita the Authentic Mexican Restaurant was created in 2017 by the Martinez Villalva family and is dedicated to serving authentic Mexican dishes made from the freshest local ingredients. Our owners Rigo Martinez and Guadalupe Villalva have brought their favorite family recipes which have been passed down for generations from Oaxaca and Morelos in Mexico to you here in our convenient Hackettstown, NJ location.

Traditional Oaxaca cuisine is known for being 'the land of the seven moles' with its various sauces, and Morelos cuisine is best known for its Mixiotes and Barbacoa dishes. The Martinez family incorporates all these delicious influences and flavors from their heritage to create a unique dining experience for your whole family.
